Description : The upright confocal microscope Leica SP8 is equipped with the latest generation of hybrid detector, 4 times more sensitive than PMT detectors, allowing acquisition of weak signals. The implemented laser diodes allow for lower excitation level than gas lasers. Its resonant scanner can increase the rate of acquisition, with a maximal speed of 33 frames/sec, reducing the risk of photobleaching. Its physiological objective is ideal for real time acquisition, such as on zebrafish embryos.
